Oooh, those pretzel buns look adorable and I like them because they're different. And, oh did you mention sweet portugese rolls? Someone my MIL knows has them shipped to her every year from a bakery here on the east coast and last year she shared them with us. I would love to be able to make those!

I like the idea of using baking soda, sugar and boiling water better - lye sounds scary.
