Thanks, George. I've only done one other marathon -- and it was in Portland. But that was years ago. But I feel pretty good after my 20-miler yesterday (definitely slower than in my 20s and pre-child, though!). We'll see how I do on Oct. 11. Thanks for your kind words of encouragement!

Congratulations, Heather. Not just on the move to a new (and hopefully more visible) site but also on your resolve to run a marathon. I've done it once. There's no getting around it: It's an ordeal. But, boy, is there a great sense of accomplishment. Pack a few loaves of challah with you to complement the liquids and you'll be fine!
